Campsite at Misty Mountain Camp Resort #25A

On June 20, 2017 we set out on our first vacation with our new motorhome. First stop was Misty Mountain Camp Resort in Greenwood, VA to meet up with some friends and explore the Grand Caverns in Grottoes, VA. This was campground was nicely kept, friendly employees, plenty of things for younger kids to do but a little tight to be considered "big rig" friendly park.

Campsite at Clarksboro KOA - Clarksboro, NJ

Next stop, Misty Mountain Camp ResortClarksboro KOA in Clarksboro, NJ to meet up with family and to celebrate our son, Adam's birthday. We would give this campground an OK rating. It was definitely "big rig" friendly, we had no trouble moving around. The sites were a bit tight, as we could not extend our awning. The grounds in the campground needed some attention, trash in our fireplace upon arrival as well as someone's welcome mat that had definitely been there and run over several times.

If you have kids that like construction vehicles, a visit to Diggerland USA in West Berlin, NJ is definitely worth the visit. Adam loves construction vehicles so when we found this place on the internet we knew we had to get him there. The short description as to what Diggerland USA is would be a place that kids can operate various construction vehicles of various sizes on their own. Check out their website Diggerlandusa.com to read more details.

Pictures from Northlandz in Flemington, NJ

While in New Jersey, my brother told us about a HUGE model train display in Flemington (on US 202) called Northlandz. Adam loves trains so we spent a day checking it out. Only way to describe it is "WOW". The outside of the large building didn't look too impressive when we visited but the attention to detail inside was amazing. As we walked through, for what seemed like a long time, we came across a sign that said that we have completed only 25% of the display. It seemed to go on forever. If you like model trains it is definitely worth a visit. Check out their website Northlandz.com for more details.
